Excellent but deeply disturbing

Based on good reviews I read here, I went to see this film with my husband on our rare night out to the movies. We both agreed it was well done, in fact excellent movie. I am not a big fan of Jolie, but she was not bad here. Acting, directing, everything was really good, deserves awards. BUT...

I can't say we enjoyed it since it was a very disturbing story. Knowing it was a true story from the start made me feel very upset throughout...I cried and looked away few times...So, be prepared, you will not walk out smiling, but deeply sad and moved...

I have to give this film 5 stars, it is extremely well done, one of the best movies I have seen in recent years. But I wouldn't want to see it ever again...Bit like Shindler's List, if you remember it, another excellent, award winning but heart breaking film that I only wanted to see once.

So, if you are an emotional person, I suggest you stay away...

Great Movie

Went with my boyfriend, who wasn't really that keen to go. Gripping movie which we both really enjoyed. Best film Jolie has done in a long time. On the long side but never slow or drawn out. Well recommended.

Best film I have ever seen !

I could not fault this film . When it started I was immediately impressed with the recreation of 1928 Los Angeles . The story was very well paced , and reached a climax with the trial and the the execution . These scenes were so excellently acted that you really felt you were really there and you forgot that you were in a cinema !
