EUROPE'S FIRST DCI COMPLIANT FULLY DIGITAL MULTIPLEXES: ODEON HATFIELD AND ODEON SURREY QUAYS
The film industry is at the threshold of the biggest change in its history, the transition from celluloid film to digital. At ODEON we are fanatical about film and so are very pleased to announce the launch of Europe's first two all digital, fully networked and DCI compliant multiplex cinemas.
Digital cinema offers improved picture quality on screen that is maintained over the entire life span of the film because a digital image will never degrade.
It also means we can show an exciting range of films and other entertainment experiences, such as 3D films, music and sporting events.
ODEON Hatfield and ODEON Surrey Quays now have ground breaking, state-of-the-art digital projection systems installed in all 18 screens, which firmly puts ODEON at the forefront of transforming cinema for the future.
ODEON Hatfield and ODEON Surrey Quays both launched digital cinema on Friday 9th February 2007. Look out for this logo 
next to all digital performances displayed on the website.
